Wireless Solutions
Fixed Wireless

We specialize in turn-key solutions in the
design, implementation and support of wireless systems. Our
wireless solutions range from in-building wireless WIFI
(Wireless Fidelity) to high-speed, reliable carrier class
wireless solutions employing microwave and free space optics
technologies. Southwest LAN Connections can provide your
business high-capacity microwave (from 155-622 Mbps) for
voice, video and data over SONET, ATM and IP networks.
Wireless Gigabit Ethernet meets
the ever growing demand for faster bandwidth at a
significantly lower cost when Fiber is not economically
feasible, or location presents a structured cabling
obstacle. Southwest LAN Connections can recommend the
optimum wireless solution for your company’s networking
technology.
High
Capacity
A high capacity
wireless solution engineered by Southwest LAN Connections
can be a sophisticated, licensed wireless solution
implementing a SONET/SDH radio that supports integrated
services from 155–622 MBPs over SONET/SDH, ATM or IP
networks in a ring, star or mesh topology. These systems
have the ability to support video, data, and telecommunication
services such as Ethernet, digital PBX connections, voice
over IP or real time video.
Other approaches
for a ultra high capacity wireless solution include delivering
full duplex Gigabit Ethernet (1.25 Gbps) implemented over
FSO (Free Space Optics) or our 60 GHz radio solutions, both
of which are license-exempt.
Fixed
Broadband Wireless Solutions
Southwest LAN
Connections also specializes in point-to-point or
point-to-multi-point fixed broadband wireless solutions.
Our point-to-point solutions support Fast Ethernet bridging
and provide T-1 interfaces for telecommunication services.
Our point-to-multi-point is the most economical and flexible
wireless approach for connecting multiple buildings in a
campus or MAN (Metropolitan Area Network). These systems
operate in the license-exempt, 2.4 GHz to 5 GHz bands.
Advantages of a
wireless system:
 | Significantly cuts
operational expenditures by eliminating fiber and leased
line cost |
 | Adds network capacity within
hours |
 | Transport voice, video, or
data over a single wireless connection |
 | Cost Competitive |
 | High capacity carrier class
wireless solutions |
 | High performance SONET/SDH,
ATM or IP solution |
 | Highly secured data
encryption |
 | Ease of installation and
maintenance |
 | SNMP based element and network management |
WLAN Solutions
“The next
generation wireless solutions for networking mobility and wireless
connectivity”
Wireless Ethernet Access Point

WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network) AP’s (Access Points) provide “over
the air” transmissions which combine wireless connectivity with user
mobility. Wireless connectivity between mobile computing devices
such as lap tops, PDA’s or the next generation phones, and a Local
Area Network allow network users to have mobility and flexibility to
move virtually anywhere from a conference room, corporate office,
production facilities, courtyard, or roam throughout a campus
environment and still remain mobile and connected.
Wireless
Ethernet Bridging

Ethernet
Wireless bridging provides a seamless connection between two buildings
(point-to-point) or multiple buildings (point-to-multi-point). WLAN
connectivity between the 11 MBPs to 54 MBPs utilizing the
license-exempt 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands makes connectivity an
attractive, viable solution.
The benefits of these WLAN implementations include total mobility,
speeds faster than a T-1, cost effectiveness, reliability, security
and private network ownership. Coupled with rapid deployment, both
Wireless AP and Wireless Ethernet bridging are increasingly becoming
the preferred choice over leased lines for data connectivity. Examples
of market sectors that have implemented these wireless technologies
are government, education, healthcare, small businesses and public hot
spots.
For building-to-building and peer-to-peer connectivity, let Southwest
LAN Connections design, engineer, implement and support the optimum
wireless solution for your business networking needs.
